C1 Staffing is hiring a Food Service Worker for a client location in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a full-time, ongoing contract role paying $16.94 per hour, with overtime paid at $23.72 per hour and paid weekly.
This is a hands-on kitchen and service role for someone who likes variety. You may work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, moving between prep areas, serving counters, and the dining space as the day requires. If you want to build skills across multiple stations rather than doing the same task all day, this assignment is a strong fit.
What you will do:- Work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, supporting the kitchen team wherever you are needed that day- Assist with the setup of food service counters and steamtables before service begins- Serve food to guests from counters and steamtables, keeping lines moving and presentation neat- Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work stations throughout your shift- Learn and work the grill station, cooking and holding items to order- Learn and work the oven station as part of the daily rotation- Learn and work the barista station, preparing beverages for guests- Provide friendly customer service at the counter and answer basic questions about the food offered
Schedule and pay:- $16.94 per hour, with overtime paid at $23.72 per hour- Paid weekly- Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week- Monday 5:30 am to 2:30 pm- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm- Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm- Ongoing position with contract-to-hire potential for the right person
What you will need:- Must be 18 years of age or older- Willingness to learn multiple stations, including grill, oven, barista, and customer service- Ability to work at a steady pace and support a busy kitchen team- Comfort standing, walking, and working on your feet for the full shift- Ability to clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to food safety standards- Required uniform: black polo shirt, black slacks, and black non-slip shoes- Dependability for an early start, since the first shift of the week begins at 5:30 am
