Food Service Worker - Gardner, KS
C1 Staffing is hiring a Food Service Worker for a client location in Gardner, Kansas, supporting food preparation, service, and sanitation across the property. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $14.54 per hour with weekly pay and around 40 hours per week.
This role puts you in the middle of a busy food service operation, where you will help get meals set up, served, and cleaned up on schedule. You may work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, so flexibility and a team-first attitude go a long way here.
What you will do:- Work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, as assigned by the on-site team- Assist with the setup of counters and steamtables before each service period- Serve food to guests from counters and steamtables during service- Clean and sanitize equipment, work stations, and service areas throughout and after each shift- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards at every step of preparation and service- Keep service lines stocked, organized, and presentable during peak periods- Support the kitchen and service team wherever extra hands are needed in a fast-paced environment
Schedule and pay:- $14.54 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $20.36 per hour- Approximately 40 hours per week- Shifts vary, generally 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with morning shift availability also needed- Weekend and holiday availability is required- Contract-to-hire, with the potential to continue on an ongoing basis
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Reliable attendance and flexible availability across varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays- Comfort standing and walking for the length of the shift- Ability to lift and move items and stay on your feet throughout the shift- A team-first attitude in a fast-paced kitchen and service environment- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation procedures- Willingness to complete any required pre-assignment screenings
