Warehouse Operative — St. Charles, IL
C1 Staffing is hiring Warehouse Operatives for shift-based work in St. Charles, Illinois, with pay at $18.00 per hour. This is gig-style work that may continue on an ongoing basis for people who show up ready to work.
What you will do:
- Move, stage, and organize product throughout the warehouse floor so that it is ready for the next step in the process- Pick and pack orders accurately against pick tickets, labels, or scan prompts- Load and unload trailers and move freight to the correct staging or storage areas- Break down pallets, sort cartons, and build out new pallets neatly and securely for shipping or storage- Scan, label, and count inventory, flagging shortages, damages, or mislabeled product to a supervisor- Keep aisles, dock areas, and work zones clean, clear, and free of debris throughout the shift- Follow all site safety rules, including proper lifting technique and correct use of any required personal protective equipment- Communicate with team leads about workflow, delays, or equipment issues so the shift stays on schedule
Schedule and pay:
- Pay is $18.00 per hour- Paid weekly- Gig / shift-based work that may become ongoing for reliable workers- Shifts are assigned as they become available at the St. Charles site
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift repeatedly for the length of the shift- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment where temperatures may vary with the season- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work at a steady pace alongside a team- Attention to detail when picking, counting, labeling, and staging product- Dependability — arriving on time and completing the full shift as scheduled- Appropriate closed-toe work footwear for a warehouse floor
