Environmental Service Attendant - Senior - Covington, LA
C1 Staffing is hiring a Senior Environmental Service Attendant in Covington, LA to lead a cleaning team on a client site. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $17.45 per hour, with overtime paid at $24.43 per hour.
This role is the lead position on the cleaning crew, so you will be setting the pace and the standard for the team while handling hands-on cleaning work yourself. You may be assigned to any location on the client's premises, which can include commercial, healthcare, school, university or similar establishments.
What you will do:- Serve as the employee lead for the cleaning team on site, guiding and supporting other attendants through the shift- Clean and keep facilities in an orderly, sanitary condition throughout the day- Work in any assigned location on the client's premises, including commercial, healthcare, school, university or similar settings- Carry out daily cleaning routines and make sure they are completed consistently- Help keep service standards uniform across the team and across assigned areas- Watch for detail issues in finished work and correct them before areas are turned back over- Stand, walk, bend and lift as needed to complete cleaning tasks across the full shift
Schedule and pay:- $17.45 per hour, with overtime paid at $24.43 per hour- Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm- 40 hours per week- Contract-to-hire, with ongoing potential for the right person- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior janitorial, housekeeping or environmental services experience- Comfort leading and guiding other attendants on a crew- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift throughout the shift- Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail- Willingness to work in any assigned area of the client's premises
A note on dress code: uniforms will be provided once you start. For your first few days on site, please wear slacks and a polo shirt.
