Food Service Worker - Fort Lauderdale, FL
C1 Staffing is hiring a Food Service Worker for a client location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, supporting food prep, service, and sanitation across the property. Pay is $16.94 per hour, with overtime paid at $23.72 per hour, on a steady Monday through Friday daytime schedule averaging 40 hours per week.
This is a full-time contract assignment with potential to continue as an ongoing or contract-to-hire opportunity for the right person. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen and service environment where cross-training is part of the job, so there is real room to build skills across several stations.
What you will do:- Work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, supporting the team wherever help is needed- Assist with the setup of food service counters and steamtables before service begins- Serve food to customers from counters and steamtables during service periods- Clean and sanitize equipment and work stations throughout the shift- Learn and work the grill station, preparing items to order- Learn and operate the oven station as part of daily food production- Learn and work the barista station, preparing coffee and beverage orders- Provide friendly, accurate customer service at the point of service
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $16.94 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime is paid at $23.72 per hour- Monday through Friday, averaging 40 hours per week- Monday 5:30 am to 2:30 pm- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm- Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm- Full-time contract assignment with potential to continue as an ongoing or contract-to-hire role
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Willingness to learn multiple stations, including grill, oven, barista, and customer service, and to support the team where needed- A friendly, dependable approach to customer service- Ability to stand and move for the length of the shift and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment- Comfort with cleaning and sanitation tasks, including wiping down equipment and work stations- Uniform required: black polo shirt, black slacks, and black non-slip shoes
