C1 Staffing is hiring a Cook - Grill for a client location in Lancaster, PA (zip 17601 area served). This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week contract-to-hire role paying $22.11 per hour, with the potential to move into a permanent position.
This is a hands-on grill position covering multiple meal periods in a busy kitchen, and it is customer facing, so you will be cooking to order while talking directly with guests. If you can hold your pace on a hot line and still plate food that looks good, this is a strong fit.
What you will do:- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Cook for breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal periods, plus special and catered events- Take food orders directly from customers and prepare those orders correctly- Work the grill station to order, keeping tickets moving during peak service- Hold consistent portioning and presentation standards on every plate- Maintain speed and consistency from the start of a meal period through close- Keep your station organized and ready as you move between meal periods and event service
Schedule and pay:- $22.11 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $30.95 per hour- Full time, 40 hours per week- Contract-to-hire, with the potential to move into a permanent role- Orientation takes place on a Friday at 8am
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Hands-on grill and line cooking experience- Comfort interacting directly with guests while cooking to order- Ability to stand for a full shift and keep pace in a busy kitchen- Ability to work across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered event service- This position is subject to E-Verify employment eligibility verification
Uniform and dress code:- A chef coat will be issued to you- Black slacks are required- No sweatpants, spandex, jeans, or overalls
