C1 Staffing is hiring a Lead Worker - Food in Troy, NY (TROY, NY) to coordinate the daily activities of food service workers on a client site. The role pays $20.51 per hour on a full-time evening shift, with overtime paid at $28.71 per hour.
This is a lead position in a smaller, lower-complexity food service location, where you will keep the shift moving, support the crew, and stay hands-on with food preparation and customer service. Food service settings can include commercial accounts, health care, schools, universities, or similar establishments, and you should be comfortable stepping into any type of food area on site as needs change during the shift.
What you will do:- Coordinate the daily activities of food service workers and service employees at a smaller, lower-complexity location- Work under the leadership and direction of on-site management and supervisors- Support food preparation throughout the shift, working hands-on alongside the crew- Deliver strong customer service to everyone who comes through the service area- Direct and guide a small crew so tasks are covered and the shift stays on schedule- Step into any type of food service area on the premises as staffing and service needs change- Keep service running smoothly in commercial, health care, school, university, or similar food service environments
Schedule and pay:- $20.51 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $28.71 per hour- Shift runs 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.- Full-time, 40 hours per week- This is a contract assignment with the potential to move into an ongoing or contract-to-hire opportunity for the right person
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Hands-on food preparation experience- Customer service skills and a professional, team-first approach- Comfort leading and directing a small crew and coordinating their activities- Willingness to work in commercial, health care, school, university, or similar food service settings- Ability to take direction from on-site management and supervisors and pass that direction along to the team- Flexibility to work in any type of food location on the client premises
