C1 Staffing is hiring experienced Senior Cooks for a client kitchen in Los Angeles, CA, where you will prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold food items across all meal periods. The pay is $25.66 per hour with overtime at $35.92 per hour, paid weekly, and this is an ongoing assignment with contract-to-hire potential.
What you will do:- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support all meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner service- Cook and plate for special and catered events alongside regular daily production- Follow established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines on every item that leaves the kitchen- Work multiple stations as needed to keep service moving during peak meal periods- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area in line with food safety standards- Report for each shift in chefs whites and safety shoes, ready for service
Schedule and pay:- $25.66 per hour- Overtime paid at $35.92 per hour- 40 hours per week- Schedules vary and may include breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Hands-on cooking experience across multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment- Ability to stand and work on your feet for full shifts- Working knowledge of recipe execution, portion control, and plate presentation- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices- Chefs whites and safety shoes required on every shift
