C1 Staffing is hiring a Catering Service Worker for a short-term contract assignment in Plano, TX. The role pays $20.83 per hour, with overtime paid at $29.16 per hour, and it is a strong fit for anyone who enjoys hospitality work and takes pride in a well-presented event.
This position is centered on getting catering orders where they need to be, on time and looking right. You will work in office and conference room settings, handling everything from the initial setup through the final cleanup, while keeping guests and customers well taken care of throughout the service.
What you will do:- Organize, set up, and deliver requested catering services to specific locations and conference rooms- Transport catering equipment, food, beverages, and supplies to the requested service areas- Arrange service areas with attention to presentation and detail before guests arrive- Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers throughout the event- Deliver efficient and attentive service that exceeds customer expectations- Monitor service areas during events and respond to customer requests as they come up- Break down service areas, clear items, and clean up once events conclude
Schedule and pay:- $20.83 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $29.16 per hour- Approximately 8 hours per week- Short-term contract engagement, shift-based work that may be ongoing
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and transport catering equipment and supplies throughout the shift- Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail- Professional, friendly communication style with customers and guests- Prior catering, banquet, food service, or hospitality experience is a plus- Uniform required: black slacks and a black shirt
This is a good assignment for someone who likes variety in the day and works well without a lot of hand-holding. Catering work moves quickly, and the people who do well in it are the ones who notice the small things, such as a service area that needs straightening, a guest who needs help, or a delivery that needs to go out a few minutes early. If you have worked banquets, events, or food service before, much of this will feel familiar. If you are newer to catering but have a strong service mindset and are comfortable on your feet, this is a reasonable place to build that experience.
