C1 Staffing is hiring a Senior Food Service Supervisor for a short-term, two-day contract assignment in Wayne, NJ (07470). The role pays $26.74 per hour on a 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. shift, with weekly pay through C1.
This is a hands-on leadership assignment in a larger, complex food service environment. You will work at the direction of on-site management to keep the shift organized, the team on task, and service moving without interruption. Settings of this type can include commercial dining, health care, schools, universities, or similar establishments, so experience leading a team in a busy kitchen or service operation will serve you well here.
What you will do:- Coordinate routine work activities of food service and support employees throughout the shift- Provide oversight at the direction of on-site management across food operations and services- Support management with the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business- Help keep service running smoothly in a larger, complex food service environment- Direct staff on assignments and task priorities so production and service stay on schedule- Communicate clearly with both front-line workers and management on shift needs and issues- Maintain an orderly, professional presence in the kitchen and service areas for the full shift
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $26.74 per hour- Overtime is paid at $37.44 per hour- Shift is 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.- Approximately 16 hours for the week across a two-day engagement- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior supervisory or lead experience in food service, such as commercial dining, health care, schools, universities, or similar establishments- Comfort directing a team in a fast-paced kitchen or service setting- Dependability and strong communication skills with both staff and management- Chef uniform is required and must be worn for the entire shift- Ability to remain on your feet and move throughout kitchen and service areas for the length of the shift
