C1 Staffing is hiring a Grill Cook in Grass Valley, CA, to prepare and plate hot and cold food items for brunch, dinner service, and catered events. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $20.72 per hour, with overtime paid at $29.01 per hour.
What you will do:
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Cook for multiple meal periods, including brunch service and dinner service- Cook and plate for special events and catered functions- Hold consistent presentation standards so every plate leaves the line looking the same- Work with speed and accuracy during peak service without sacrificing quality- Keep your station clean, organized, and food-safe throughout the shift- Communicate with the rest of the kitchen team to keep tickets moving and service on time
Schedule and pay:
- $20.72 per hour, with overtime paid at $29.01 per hour- Paid weekly- Shift runs 9:15am to 6:15pm- Approximately 24 hours per week- Contract-to-hire, with ongoing potential for the right cook
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Hands-on cooking experience, ideally on a grill or hot line- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen- Comfort working across different meal periods and event-driven service- Dependable attendance and strong teamwork- Required uniform: black pants and slip-proof shoes
