C1 Staffing is hiring an experienced Senior Cook for a short-term contract assignment in Plano, TX (75024 area). Pay is $25.19 per hour with overtime paid at $35.27 per hour, on a set daytime schedule for a full week of work.
This is a one-week kitchen assignment built for a seasoned culinary professional who can step in and perform from day one. You will handle multiple meal periods and support catered functions, so accuracy, speed, and consistency matter here.
What you will do:- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items- Support breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal periods throughout the assignment- Assist with special events and catered functions as scheduled- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in food presentation and portioning- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen- Work at a steady pace alongside the kitchen team during high-volume service periods- Keep work stations clean, organized, and stocked for each meal period
Schedule and pay:- $25.19 per hour, with overtime paid at $35.27 per hour- 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., approximately 40 hours for the week- Contract, short-term engagement lasting one week- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior professional cooking experience across multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner- Experience preparing and presenting both hot and cold food items- Ability to work at a steady pace in a busy kitchen environment- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling standard kitchen tasks- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices- Required uniform: black slacks and a black shirt
