C1 Staffing is hiring Catering Service Workers for an upscale plated dinner event serving approximately 200 guests in Tuskegee Institute, AL. This is a short-term, shift-based assignment paying $17.84 per hour, with overtime paid at $24.98 per hour.
This is formal, high-end catering work, so polished presentation and a team-first attitude matter as much as speed. Staff will meet at a designated campus meeting point, and transportation to the event venue will be provided from there.
What you will do:- Provide prompt, courteous service to roughly 200 guests at a formal plated dinner- Carry and balance serving trays throughout the event while moving through a crowded dining space- Assist with event setup before guests arrive, including arranging the service area as directed- Deliver efficient, attentive service that meets and exceeds the client's expectations- Respond to guest requests quickly and professionally during service- Support breakdown and cleanup of the service area at the end of the night as directed by on-site supervisors- Report to the designated campus meeting point on time and ride provided transportation to the event location
Schedule and pay:- $17.84 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $24.98 per hour- Evening shift, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, approximately 8 hours of work- Short-term contract assignment with the possibility of additional shift-based work
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Comfort carrying and balancing serving trays for extended periods- Ability to stand and walk for the full length of the shift- Required uniform: white button-up shirt, black pants, black belt, and black socks- Shirt and pants must be pressed; anyone who arrives without the complete and properly pressed uniform will be asked to go home- Ability to report to the designated campus meeting point, where transportation to the event venue will be provided- A courteous, guest-focused attitude suited to an upscale dinner setting
A quick note on the uniform: please take this requirement seriously. The client holds a high standard for appearance at this event, and workers who show up out of uniform or in wrinkled clothing will not be permitted to work the shift. Arriving a few minutes early, dressed and ready, is the easiest way to make sure your night goes smoothly and your hours get paid.
