C1 Staffing is hiring a banquet-style food server to support events at a ballroom venue in Austin, TX 78702. The role pays $20.00 per hour, with weekly paychecks from C1 Staffing.
This is nonrestaurant service work, meaning you will be serving guests at plated meals, buffets, and receptions rather than working a traditional table section. You will be part of a service team that sets the room, serves the meal, keeps the floor clean during the event, and breaks everything down afterward.
What you will do:- Set banquet tables with linens, china, glassware, flatware, and centerpieces according to the event diagram and floor plan- Serve plated meals, buffet items, and beverages to event guests using standard banquet service timing and procedures- Carry trays of food and beverages from the kitchen or staging area to the ballroom floor- Stock, replenish, and maintain buffet lines, beverage stations, and service areas throughout the event- Clear used plates, glassware, and flatware between courses and return items to the dish area- Respond to guest requests during service and communicate special needs or allergy questions to the lead or kitchen- Reset and strike the ballroom after events, including stripping tables, stacking chairs, and returning equipment to storage- Follow safe food handling and sanitation practices during setup, service, and cleanup
Schedule and pay:- $20.00 per hour- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Ability to stand and walk for the length of a shift, including during setup and breakdown- Ability to lift, carry, and balance trays of plated food, glassware, and beverages- Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull while moving tables, chairs, and service equipment- Comfort working in a fast-paced event environment with firm service timing- A professional, guest-facing attitude and willingness to take direction from the banquet lead- Reliability and punctuality, since event service starts at a fixed time
