Dishwashers needed in Austin, TX (78712) to keep kitchens, dish pits, and service areas running clean during busy event days at a large venue. This is a W-2 assignment through C1 Staffing paying $18.00 per hour with weekly pay.
What you will do:- Operate a commercial dish machine through full cycles, loading racks of plates, glassware, flatware, and serving pieces and unloading them without chipping or breakage- Scrape, pre-rinse, and sort incoming dishware, pots, pans, sheet trays, hotel pans, and utensils so items run through the machine clean the first time- Hand wash oversized cookware, mixing bowls, sheet pans, and smallwares that do not fit the machine, using a three-compartment sink setup- Monitor water temperature, detergent and sanitizer levels, and refill chemicals or notify a supervisor when dispensers run low- Stack, dry, and return clean dishware, glass racks, flatware, and cooking equipment to their assigned stations so cooks and service staff are never waiting on product- Keep the dish pit organized and safe by clearing standing water, breaking down boxes, pulling trash and recycling to the dock, and changing bags as cans fill- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, wipe down counters and prep surfaces, and assist with closing cleaning tasks at the end of service- Support the kitchen team with basic stocking and runner tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor

What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for the full shift, often on wet floors in a warm, high-volume kitchen- Comfortable with repeated bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting and carrying dish racks, trash bags, and cookware- Willingness to work with hot water, steam, cleaning chemicals, and commercial dish equipment while following safety instructions- Ability to work quickly and steadily during peak rushes and to take direction from kitchen leads and chefs- Dependability and on-time arrival, since event kitchens run on tight timelines- Closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes and a willingness to follow all kitchen hygiene and uniform standards
