C1 Staffing is hiring a utility worker to support a busy kitchen in Kansas City, Missouri (64112), keeping work areas, equipment and utensils clean and ready for service. The role pays $15.63 per hour with daytime hours only, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, and no late nights.
What you will do:- Maintain clean, organized and safe kitchen work areas throughout the shift- Wash, sanitize and properly store utensils, pots, pans and smallwares- Clean kitchen equipment and return it to service ready for the culinary team- Restock clean smallwares and keep dish and prep stations stocked and orderly- Support the culinary team with general kitchen tasks as needed during service- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards at every step- Keep floors, counters and storage areas clean and free of clutter- Work at a steady pace to keep up with volume during peak service times
Schedule and pay:- $15.63 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $21.88 per hour- Shifts run 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, approximately 40 hours per week- Daytime schedule with no late nights- This is a contract assignment with potential to continue as ongoing or contract-to-hire for the right person
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Reliable attendance and the ability to start quickly- Comfort standing for a full shift, with repetitive lifting, bending and reaching- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and keep pace during busy periods- Attention to detail and pride in a clean, organized workspace- Required uniform: black shirt, black pants and slip-resistant safety shoes
This is a strong fit if you are dependable, take pride in a clean workspace and want steady daytime hours. Prior dish room, utility or kitchen support experience is helpful, but dependability and a good attitude matter most here.
