C1 Staffing is hiring a Dishroom Lead for a short-term, shift-based assignment in Tuskegee Institute, AL 36088, paying $14.54 per hour. This is a single-shift opportunity that is a strong fit if you have dishroom or kitchen experience and want to pick up quick work with a reliable staffing partner.
As the Dishroom Lead, you will set the pace for the back-of-house cleaning operation, keeping the dish machine moving and clean ware flowing back out to the service areas without delay. You will work closely with the rest of the kitchen team during meal periods and help keep the area organized, sanitary, and safe from start to finish.
What you will do:- Lead the dishroom area and keep dish machine operations running smoothly throughout service- Scrape, rack, wash, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans- Sort and stack clean items and return them to service areas promptly- Help direct and support other dishroom team members during peak periods- Keep work stations, sinks, floors, and trash areas clean and safe- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $14.54 per hour- Paid weekly- Gig or shift-based assignment, with the possibility of additional shifts for workers who perform well
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior dishroom, kitchen, or food service experience preferred- Ability to stand for the full shift and work in a hot, wet, fast-paced environment- Ability to lift, push, and pull as needed and handle repetitive bending and reaching- Comfort with repetitive motion tasks such as racking, loading, and unloading dish machines- Dependable arrival and a team-first attitude- Willingness to give direction and support to other dishroom team members during busy periods- Clean, work-appropriate attire and closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes
This role moves quickly. Dishrooms fill up fast during service, and the Lead is the person who keeps racks cycling, sorts out backups before they start, and makes sure clean plates, glasses, and flatware get back where the kitchen needs them.
