C1 Staffing is hiring a Cook II for a short-term, shift-based assignment in Wilton, CT 06897. This is a focused week of kitchen work paying $19.73 per hour, ideal for an experienced cook who wants to put in a strong run on the line and get paid weekly.
What you will do:- Prepare, cook, and portion menu items to recipe and presentation standards- Work the line during service, keeping pace with ticket times and plating expectations- Support prep work before and after meal periods so the station is set and broken down properly- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature-logging procedures throughout the shift- Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and service-ready- Assist with receiving and rotating stock using proper labeling and dating- Communicate with kitchen leadership on product needs, timing, and any shortages
Schedule and pay:- Pay rate is $19.73 per hour- Paid weekly- Short-term, gig and shift-based assignment that may lead to additional work- Reliable attendance for the full assignment window is expected
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior cook experience in a high-volume kitchen, restaurant, or institutional food service setting- Working knowledge of knife skills, batch cooking, and standard kitchen equipment- Ability to stand for the full shift and lift, push, or pull as needed- Comfort working in hot, fast-paced conditions with steady ticket flow- Clean, professional kitchen attire and closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes- Ability to follow recipes, portion specs, and sanitation procedures with consistency
