Dishwashers needed in Austin, TX 78702 to keep dishware, glassware, and kitchen equipment moving during events at a banquet and event venue. This role pays 18.00 dollars per hour, paid weekly through C1 Staffing.
What you will do:- Operate a commercial dishmachine, loading and unloading racks of plates, glassware, flatware, and serving pieces throughout each shift- Scrape, pre-rinse, and sort soiled dishes brought in from the dining floor, banquet tables, and service stations- Hand-wash large pots, pans, sheet trays, chafing dishes, and other items that do not fit in the machine- Monitor dishmachine temperatures and detergent levels, and change wash water as needed to keep results sanitary- Stack, polish as needed, and return clean dishware, glassware, and flatware to their proper storage and staging areas so service is never waiting on product- Keep the dish pit, floor mats, and surrounding work areas clean, dry, and free of clutter during service- Break down boxes, empty and reline trash and recycling bins, and haul waste to the dumpster area- Assist kitchen and banquet staff with end-of-event cleanup, including wiping down surfaces and putting away equipment

What you will need:- Must be 18 years of age or older- Ability to stand and walk for the full shift in a hot, humid, and noisy kitchen environment- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including full dish racks, pots, and trash bags- Comfort working with hands in water, around steam, and with cleaning chemicals, and the ability to bend, reach, and twist repeatedly- Willingness to work quickly and steadily during peak event periods while keeping the dish area organized- Ability to follow direction from kitchen leads and communicate with servers and banquet staff about dish needs- Closed-toe, slip-resistant footwear and a clean, neat appearance for a guest-facing venue- Dependability and on-time arrival, since events run on a fixed timeline
