C1 Staffing is hiring a Cook II in Evansville, IN 47712 for one of our client partners. This is an ongoing, contract-to-hire role paying $16.00 per hour, with the potential to be brought on permanently based on performance.
This position is a strong fit for an experienced kitchen professional who takes pride in consistent food quality and a clean, well-run station. You will work as part of a production team, preparing menu items to recipe and keeping service moving during peak periods.
What you will do:- Prepare, cook, and portion menu items to recipe and quality standards- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures throughout your shift- Keep work stations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized- Assist with stocking product and rotating inventory to maintain freshness- Monitor portions and product handling to help reduce waste- Work as part of a team during busy service periods, communicating with cooks and service staff- Maintain attention to detail on presentation, portioning, and recipe accuracy
Schedule and pay:- Pay is $16.00 per hour- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing- Ongoing, contract-to-hire assignment with the potential for permanent placement based on performance
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior cooking or kitchen production experience- A complete work history submitted with your application, including employer names and dates of employment- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment- Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail- Comfort following written recipes, food safety guidelines, and temperature logs
