Dishroom Lead - Tuskegee Institute, AL (36088 area)
C1 Staffing is hiring a Dishroom Lead in Tuskegee Institute, AL for a short-term contract assignment with one of our clients. Pay is $14.54 per hour, paid weekly, on an evening shift that runs 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
This role keeps the heart of a busy commercial kitchen moving. You will be the person who makes sure cooks and servers always have clean, sanitized tableware and equipment ready to go, and that the dishroom itself stays orderly from the start of service to the final cleanup.
What you will do:- Provide a clean and safe kitchen area for staff to work in throughout the shift- Wash and sanitize tableware, glassware, flatware, pots, pans and cooking equipment- Keep the dishroom and all dish machines and related equipment clean, stocked and organized- Maintain sanitation standards while handling a steady flow of dishes during peak service- Lead by example, helping the dish area run smoothly and keeping the pace up when volume increases- Return clean items to their proper storage locations so the kitchen stays set up for the next shift- Handle end-of-shift cleanup so the dishroom is left in good condition
Schedule and pay:- $14.54 per hour, paid weekly- Shift runs 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.- Approximately 8 hours for the week- Short-term contract assignment; shift-based work that may be ongoing
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Comfort working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment- Ability to stand for the full shift and handle repetitive lifting, bending and reaching- Dependability and strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards- Willingness to work an evening shift that ends at midnight- A team-first attitude and the ability to set the tone for others in the dish area
