C1 Staffing is hiring a Driver (Goods, Materials and Passenger) in Long Island City, NY 11101 to safely operate company vehicles and deliver goods and materials to clients. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position paying $23.22 per hour, with overtime paid at $32.51 per hour.
What you will do:
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods and materials to client locations- Load and unload box trucks and vans- Complete packouts by reading purchase orders, gathering every item needed for each delivery, and staging those items on a dolly or hand truck- Take temperatures of food products and record them as required- Move in and out of walk-in refrigerators and freezers throughout the shift- Stock and retrieve package and bulk containers in the warehouse- Assist with general warehouse duties, including general cleaning
Schedule and pay:
- $23.22 per hour, with overtime at $32.51 per hour- 40 hours per week, full-time, contract-to-hire- Schedules vary based on the route assigned, with start times anywhere from 4:00 am to 7:30 am- Paid weekly- Required uniform: khaki pants (any color), a polo style shirt, and non-slip shoes
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Comfort with early morning start times and route schedules that change from day to day- Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting, loading and unloading box trucks and vans, and pushing loaded dollies and hand trucks- Willingness to work in and out of walk-in refrigerators and freezers- Attention to detail when reading purchase orders and pulling items for each delivery, so that every order leaves complete and accurate- Care and accuracy when taking temperatures of food products- Willingness to pitch in on warehouse tasks such as stocking, retrieving containers, and cleaning between runs- Ability to report in the required uniform: khaki pants (any color), polo style shirt, and non-slip shoes
