C1 Staffing is hiring Food Servers (nonrestaurant) for event service work in Austin, TX, 78712. The pay is $20.00 per hour, paid weekly.
This role supports food and beverage service at a large event venue, where you will help set up service areas, keep food stocked and presentable, and serve guests quickly and courteously during events.
What you will do:- Set up serving lines, buffets, pantries, and portable stations with food, utensils, napkins, condiments, and serviceware before doors open- Portion and plate food items and serve guests from buffets, carts, counters, and passed trays during events- Monitor food levels throughout service and restock trays, chafing dishes, and beverage stations so items stay full and attractive- Check and maintain proper hot and cold holding temperatures, rotating product and removing items that are out of temperature or out of time- Answer guest questions about menu items, including common allergen and ingredient questions, and direct guests to the right station- Keep counters, tables, and service areas clean, wiped down, and free of trash and spills during and between service periods- Break down stations at the end of service, return unused product to the kitchen, and clean equipment, carts, and serving utensils- Follow all food safety and sanitation rules, including handwashing, glove use, and avoiding cross-contamination
Schedule and pay:- Pay rate is $20.00 per hour- Paid weekly by C1 Staffing
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Valid Food Handler Card (certification) required- Ability to stand and walk for the length of the shift, including on hard floors- Ability to bend, reach, and lift and carry trays, pans, and cases of product- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with large crowds and moving quickly between stations- Willingness to follow food safety, sanitation, and uniform standards- A friendly, guest-focused attitude and the ability to work as part of a service team- Reliability and punctuality, since service areas must be ready before guests arrive
