C1 Staffing is hiring Cook I professionals for a client kitchen in San Jose, CA, preparing hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. Pay is 25.00 dollars per hour on a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule, and this long-term contract assignment carries the potential to move into a contract-to-hire opportunity.
What you will do:- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items with accuracy and efficiency- Support multiple meal periods throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner service- Contribute to special functions and catered events, plating and presenting food to standard- Follow recipes and portion standards consistently so every plate goes out the same way- Apply presentation guidelines to hot and cold items, from line service to catering trays- Keep pace during peak meal service while maintaining quality and consistency- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station throughout your shift- Work as part of a kitchen team, communicating with cooks and service staff during busy periods
Schedule and pay:- 25.00 dollars per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at 35.00 dollars per hour- Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week- Specific shift details will be confirmed during the hiring process- Contract assignment with the potential to move into a contract-to-hire opportunity
What you will need:- Must be 18 years or older- Hands-on cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen- Ability to work efficiently and keep pace during busy meal service- Comfort standing for extended periods and handling standard kitchen tasks- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork- Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and food presentation guidelines- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
