Quick Hire: Cook - Senior
C1 Staffing is hiring experienced Cooks for a senior dining operation in Golden Valley, MN (zip 55427 area), preparing hot and cold food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. Pay is $23.15 per hour with overtime at $32.41 per hour, paid weekly, and this contract role carries contract-to-hire potential.
What you will do:- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods- Cook and plate for breakfast service during the morning shift- Support lunch and dinner meal periods, adjusting production to resident counts and meal timing- Assist with special events and catered functions, including setup of food items and presentation- Portion food to spec so that each plate is consistent in size, temperature, and appearance- Maintain quality presentation on every plate, taking care with garnish, plating, and service standards- Work at the pace required by a senior dining operation while keeping accuracy and food quality intact- Flex between AM and PM production duties as the kitchen schedule requires
Schedule and pay:- $23.15 per hour, with overtime paid at $32.41 per hour- Full-time, 40 hours per week- Primary shift is 6:00 am to 2:30 pm- Flexibility to cover PM shifts from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm as needed- Paid weekly- Contract assignment with contract-to-hire potential and the possibility of continuing beyond the original term
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Prior cooking experience in a high-volume or healthcare dining setting- Ability to prepare and cook both hot and cold food items for large groups- Availability and willingness to work both AM and PM shifts- Comfort standing, lifting, and moving throughout the full shift- Uniform required: black pants, black shirt, and non-skid shoes- Attention to detail with portioning, food quality, and plate presentation
