Food Service Worker — Fort Lauderdale, FL
C1 Staffing is hiring a Food Service Worker for a client location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, supporting daily food preparation, serving, and sanitation on site. This is a full-time weekday assignment paying $16.94 per hour with overtime paid at $23.72 per hour, on a consistent Monday through Friday daytime schedule.
What you will do:- Work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, moving between areas as the day's service needs change- Assist with the setup of counters and steamtables before each service period- Serve food to guests from counters and steamtables, keeping portions and presentation consistent- Restock and maintain service areas throughout the shift so lines keep moving- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work stations, and service areas- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and temperature practices- Break down counters and steamtables at the end of service and return equipment to its proper place- Work as part of a kitchen team, pitching in wherever support is needed during busy periods
Schedule and pay:- $16.94 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $23.72 per hour- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm- 40 hours per week, full-time- Contract assignment with the potential to become ongoing or contract-to-hire for strong performers
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Reliable attendance and a team-first attitude- Comfort standing and walking for the length of the shift in a fast-paced kitchen environment- Ability to lift and carry food service items, trays, and supplies throughout the shift- Willingness to work in and around hot equipment such as steamtables and serving lines- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation instructions and direction from kitchen leadership- Ability to report to work in the required uniform: black polo shirt, black slacks, and black non-slip shoes
