C1 Staffing is hiring a Utility Worker for a short-term kitchen support assignment in Marion, Indiana, keeping work areas, equipment and utensils clean and ready for service. This is a single-shift assignment paying $13.57 per hour, with a set 8:00 am to 4:00 pm schedule, so you know exactly what the day looks like before you start.
What you will do:
- Maintain kitchen work areas so they stay clean, organized and ready for service throughout the shift- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, then return it to its proper storage location- Wash, sanitize and put away utensils, pots, pans and smallwares as they come back from the line- Keep dish and prep stations stocked and clear so the kitchen team can keep moving- Follow posted cleaning and sanitation instructions and procedures exactly as directed- Support the kitchen team with general upkeep tasks wherever help is needed during the shift- Work at a steady pace in a fast-moving kitchen environment alongside cooks and other support staff
Schedule and pay:
- Pay is $13.57 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime is paid at $19.00 per hour when applicable- Shift is 8:00 am to 4:00 pm- Based on a 40-hour full-time work week- Short-term, single-shift contract assignment; gig and shift-based work that may be ongoing for reliable workers- Dress code is a white shirt and black pants; jeans are not permitted
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Ability to be on your feet for the full shift in a busy kitchen setting- Ability to lift, carry and store pots, pans, trays and kitchen equipment as part of routine cleanup- Comfort working around hot water, cleaning chemicals and commercial dish equipment- Ability to follow cleaning and sanitation instructions accurately and consistently- Dependable attendance and on-time arrival for the scheduled shift- Team-oriented attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever help is needed- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
