Cashier - Food Service Worker - Prairie View, TX (77446)
C1 Staffing is hiring a Cashier - Food Service Worker for a busy foodservice operation in Prairie View, TX, paying $15.18 per hour with overtime paid at $21.25 per hour. This is a daytime, Monday through Friday schedule with no late nights, and it is an ongoing position with potential to go contract-to-hire.
What you will do:
- Handle cash and credit card transactions for customers throughout a high-volume foodservice operation- Operate the cash register and POS system accurately and complete each transaction correctly- Assist with the setup and serving of food from service counters and steam tables- Clean and sanitize equipment, serving areas, and work stations throughout your shift- Support the retail side of the operation, including setup, restocking supplies and products, and keeping displays presentable- Assist with cleanup and closedown at the end of service- Provide friendly, efficient service to every customer who comes through your line
Schedule and pay:
- $15.18 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $21.25 per hour- Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm- Approximately 37.5 hours per week- Ongoing assignment with potential to go contract-to-hire
What you will need:
- Must be 18 or older- Comfort handling money and working directly with customers face to face- Ability to operate a cash register or POS system accurately and account for each transaction- Attention to detail and a genuine commitment to food safety and cleanliness- Ability to stand for the length of the shift and keep a steady pace during peak service times- Willingness to move between cashiering, serving, stocking, and cleaning tasks as needed- Dependable attendance and a team-first attitude
