C1 Staffing is hiring a Dishroom Lead in Kearney, NE, to keep the kitchen and dishroom clean, stocked, and running smoothly for the staff who depend on it. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $15.72 per hour, with overtime paid at $22.01 per hour.
This role is a step above a standard dish position. You will be the person who sets the pace in the dishroom, keeps the equipment working, and makes sure sanitation standards hold up from the first rack of the shift to the last. What you will do:- Provide a clean and safe kitchen area for employees throughout the shift- Wash and sanitize tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment- Operate and maintain the dish machine, keeping it and other dishroom equipment in good working order- Keep the dishroom clean, organized, and stocked so clean ware is always available where it is needed- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow sanitation standards at every step- Set the pace for the dishroom team and keep the workflow moving during busy periods- Communicate with kitchen staff so dish and equipment needs are covered before they become a bottleneck
Schedule and pay:- $15.72 per hour, paid weekly- Overtime paid at $22.01 per hour- Approximately 37 hours per week- Start times vary between 8am and 2pm depending on the day's coverage needs, so schedule flexibility is important- Contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Able to stand and walk for a full shift, with regular lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching- Comfortable working around heat, water, and steam for the length of the shift- Attention to sanitation standards and safe handling of cleaning chemicals- Dependable attendance and a team-first attitude- Willingness to lead by example and help keep a small team on pace during rushes- Must be able to complete E-Verify work authorization
