C1 Staffing is hiring Food Service Workers in Prairie View, TX, for a contract-to-hire assignment starting August 14, 2026. The role pays $16.66 per hour with overtime at $23.32 per hour, and strong performers have the opportunity to move into a permanent position.
This is hands-on food service work in a busy kitchen and serving environment. You may be assigned anywhere on the property where food is prepared, so flexibility and a team-first attitude go a long way here. Prior food service or kitchen experience is helpful but not required - we will train the right people.
What you will do:- Work anywhere on the property where food is prepared, as assigned by the kitchen lead- Assist with the setup of counters, steamtables, and serving lines before each meal period- Serve food to guests from counters and steamtables, keeping portions and presentation consistent- Restock and maintain serving areas throughout the meal service so lines keep moving- Clean and sanitize equipment, serving areas, and work stations during and after service- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards throughout your shift- Break down steamtables and serving stations at the close of service- Support the kitchen team wherever help is needed during peak periods
Schedule and pay:- $16.66 per hour, with overtime paid at $23.32 per hour- Full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week- Shifts run 10:30 am to 8:15 pm- Assignment begins August 14, 2026- Contract-to-hire, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role for those who perform well- Paid weekly
What you will need:- Must be 18 or older- Comfort standing, walking, lifting, and moving throughout a full shift- Ability to work in a warm, fast-paced kitchen and serving environment- Reliable attendance and a team-first attitude- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation procedures- Dress code: black slacks, black sleeved shirt, and safety shoes- No jewelry, no false lashes, and no false nails while on shift- Must be able to complete E-Verify employment eligibility verification
